The Shop, established in 1940, has earned a stellar reputation for providing high quality gifts and books at reasonable prices.

The shop is consumer-friendly with a helpful and knowledgeable staff that is able to converse in English, Polish and Spanish.  The interior is well lit and items are attractively displayed.  Wall-to-wall carpeting and muted colors add to the serene atmosphere.  There is a reading area for all to enjoy.  The shop is handicap accessible.

     There are gifts for adults and children of all ages with a wide selection of bibles, prayer books, missals, rosaries, medals, icons, statues, tapes, posters, crosses, angels, religious jewelry, photo albums, tapes, CDs, videos and greeting cards in various languages.

The select group of books offered (including over eighty titles in Spanish), cover a broad spectrum of topics on the spiritual life and practical concerns such as prayer, contemplation, The Twelve Steps, dating, work, marriage preparation, Ecumenism, the Saints, raising teenagers, healing sexuality, grief, angels, etc.  Authors in this selection include, but aren's limited to:  Pope John Paul 11, Benedict Groeschel, Ricardo Facci, Henri Nouwen, Richard Rohr, Alejandro F. Diaz, Thomas Merton, Murray Bodo, Javier Gonzalez Ramirez, Archbishop Oscar Romero, Luis Espinal, Joyce Rupp, Wilkie Au, Thomas Keating, Robert Wicks and many others.

Gift selections include rosaries, statues, medals, baptismal gifts, crosses, memory books, greeting cards in a variety of languages for many occasions, Communion and Confirmation gifts, Wedding gifts, photo albums, frames, plaques, blessings, prayer books, collectibles, as well as a wide variety of CDs, tapes and videos and much more.

     New and unique items have just arrived.  There are St. Joseph's Day, St. Patrick's Day and Easter cards, statues, pictures, decorations and books.  There are baby books, crosses and crib medals, candles, picture frames, gifts fro godparents and the all-important Christening bib for Baptism.  For First Communion, there are specially designed dresses and veils for little girls and First Communion ties for boys.  There are also First Communion figurines, frames, Mass Books and rosaries.  For the Confirmed, there are patron saint medals, gift sets, rosaries, crosses, plaques and frames.  There are Special Wedding Nativities (A Big Seller Any Time Of The Year!) for the Bride and Groom and many items to commemorate a wedding anniversary.  For Mother's Day and Father's Day, there are numerous gifts to express love and appreciation.  Those who wish to present a memorial to a newly ordained Priest in memory of a loved one can purchase vestments, albs, chalices, altar cloths and pixes.

     To celebrate the Shrine's Hispanic Ministry, the Shop offers statues and plaques of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  There are picture and coloring books, tapes and CDs in Spanish.

     The Shrine of St. Joseph Gift and Book Shop is located in the lower level of the chapel building at 1050 Long Hill Road in Stirling, New Jersey 07980.  For the convenience of shoppers, the Shop is open seven days a week:  Monday to Saturday 10 to 5; Sunday 11 to 3.  For information and directions telephone (908) 647-2766. The Shop is closed major holidays.

     Sounds of prayerful song welcome all to the newly renovated Shrine of St. Joseph Gift and Book Shop located on the lower level of  the Chapel Building.  The Gift and Book Shop caters to the diverse interests of a wide range of groups and individuals of every age.  It has recently been expanded to include a significant selection of quality books and gifts at reasonable prices.

     Our books cover a broad spectrum of topics on the spiritual life and everyday practical concerns such as:  prayer, contemplation, dating, work, marriage preparation, Ecumenism, the Saints, raising teenagers, healing, human sexuality, grief, The Twelve Steps, angels, the Millennium, etc.  The books are written by a diverse group of authors ranging from the early masters like the Desert Fathers and Mothers and St. Augustine through St. Francis and Clare, Ignatius of Loyola, St. Vincent De Paul, Sts. Teresa of Avila and John of the Cross to modern masters like:  Thomas Merton and Henri Nouwen.  We also stock books by: Joan Chittister, Thomas Keating, Anthony DeMello, Benedict Groeschl, Basil Pennington, Richard Rohr, Megan McKenna, Joyce Rupp and Daniel Berrigan.

    Gift selections include rosaries, Christmas crèches, medals and greeting cards in a variety of languages for many occasions including Sacramental celebrations, Christmas, Birthdays, Graduation, Anniversaries, Mother's Day and Father's Day, St..Patrick, St. Valentine and the coming new millennium.  We also have CDs and tapes for your listening pleasure.
