Prayer of Blessing God of Peace, I stand before you asking strength and courage for all who seek a world of reason and understanding.
Welcome home the victims of September 11th; may they rest in your embrace and our love.
By your presence, console and heal the families of these victims, lessening their agonizing pain.
All loving God, ever attentive to your people, bless this Tower of Remembrance as a lasting memorial to those whose names are inscribed here. Bless, too, their loved ones in whose hearts their memories are forever enshrined.
Magnify the good will and compassion that you planted within each of us at the moment of our creation, so that by our lives we might inspire hope and continue our work of building a "City of God".
